We are planning: Infants that will not be eating are free unless you want a t-shirt or onesie for them. We don't have an exact amount yet how much the shirt will be.
3 and under will be $10 (that includes a shirt and food)
4-10 $20
11-adult $40.

Dear Family,

The time has come to give you the itinerary for this year’s reunion to be held in Lindon/ Lehi Utah. The dates for the reunion are July 17, 18, 19. We are very excited for all that we have planned, and to see everyone! Because the reunion is in Utah this year, we are going to be able to do some visiting of family historical sights. Details of which family sites will be visited will come later.

On the itinerary you will see that the activity during the day on Friday is to go to the BYU campus. There are so many fun things to do there that appeal to everyone. Friday night and Sunday after church will be at my mom’s house (Lisa Heath) in Lindon. All the activities on Saturday will be held at the Lehi Legacy Center. The hotel we have chosen is in Lehi and just down the road from the Legacy center and about 10 minutes from Lisa’s.

The hotel we have chosen is the Best Western in Lehi. The address is 195 S. 850 E. Lehi, UT 84043. The phone number is 801-768-1400. The group rate that we have arranged for is 69.95 plus tax. The hotel has an indoor pool, full breakfast and nice rooms, and is right off the freeway. Please make your reservations by June 30th, so that any unused rooms can be released.

This year we are doing a few new things. 1. I have started a blog for the Fitzgerald family Reunion. The blog address is fitzgeraldreunion.blogspot.com For anyone that does not know what a blog is, it is basically a website for our own family. I am hoping that this will make it easier to get the word out and for everyone to communicate. There will also be links to websites for things such as the hotel, the Legacy Center, the Utah County Visitors Center etc. 2. We are not going to mail out this letter or information packets this year, but you can go to utahvalley.org to have an information packet sent to you with more things to do in Utah County besides what we have planned. Going by the family mailing list as of December, only 4 families do not have email addresses. Therefore, we are just going to email information out and post information on the blog. If you know of anyone that does not have email, or does not get this, please pass along the information. 3. We have decided to have shirts this year. Because we are going to be doing so many things that involve family history, we are having shirts made that will have the Fitzgerald family crest on it as well as everyone’s name.

Seeing as how we only have 3 months till the reunion, we are going to start sending out emails every 2 weeks to once a month trying to get final head counts, shirt sizes etc. Please check the blog frequently to see the newest happenings.

Itinerary

Friday July 17, 2009

10 am – Visit family sites ex: family farm in Draper, cemetery where many family members are buried etc.

Noon – BYU activities. We are going to meet at the Wilkinson center on the BYU campus in Provo and from there; there are many activities to choose from. All of which are free or minimum cost.

- Bean Museum

- Harris Fine Art Center

- BYU Museum of Art

- BYU Museum of People and Cultures

- BYU Bookstore

- Wilkinson center that has a food court and place to sit and visit!

- BYU Planetarium ( we are trying to get a group rate and time)

5pm – Dinner at Lisa Heath’s house in Lindon

Saturday July 18

10 am – Pictures begin at Lehi Legacy Center

Noon – Lunch

1pm – Family Meeting

2-6 pm – Playing games, swimming at Legacy Center, rock wall climbing ( we have reserved it from 4-6pm just for our family. Free), visiting, Hutchings museum. (There are some family artifacts there)

5:30pm - Dinner

6:30pm – Sing Along

7pm – Talent Show

9-10:30pm – Dancing

Sunday July 19

11am – Lisa’s LDS ward starts. After church (2pm) for those that want, there will be “Luner” and visiting at Lisa’s house.
